BrightStar Care Home Health Aide - Advanced in West Bend, Wisconsin

Days/Hours Needed: Tuesdays : 7:30am - 3:00pm Mondays | Wednesdays | Fridays :  6:45pm-9:15pm This is a skilled case and experience is preferable, but not necessary (We Train!). Position Responsibilities Summary: The Home Health Aide - Advanced (HHAA) is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. The HHAA is responsible for observing clients, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed.   At BrightStar Care we value each of our employees and care about their wellbeing. We strive to provide best-in-class benefits packages, including: * Earned PTO * Paid Travel Time * Paid Training * Gas cards * Part of a team with RN Oversight * Employee referral bonus * Weekly pay * Flexible schedule * Nurse and Employee of the month * HomeCare Pulse Employer of Choice * Joint Commission Accredited   Essential Job Functions/ Responsibilities: * Provide client care as directed by the Director of Nursing or registered nurse supervisor. * Provide personal care * Assist the client with toileting activities * Must very consistently cover specific shifts that are specified above * Hoyer lift  * Bathing * Assist the client with dressing and undressing * Assist in feeding the client, if necessary * Assist client with active and passive range of motions as defined by the plan of care * Provide client with help walking and transferring * Observe client’s physical, mental and emotional conditions * Report any changes to the Director of Nursing or supervisor * Document observed changes * Measure and document intake and output, if necessary * Assist client in the self-administration of medication (medication reminder) * Perform light housekeeping * Perform meal preparation and clean up * Change bed linens and make up the client’s bed * Maintain an orderly client environment   Requirements * Over 18 years of age * Licensed driver with reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with the organization’s requirements * Minimum one (1) year of documented experience preferred * Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality * Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively * Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
