About us
Holiday Inn Werribee proudly showcases the new Holiday Inn open lobby concept. Situated in the heart of the Werribee city centre, being the talk of the town for Werribee and surrounds.
The hotel occupies the top 4 floors of the mixed use 12 storey premises and boasts sweeping views right across to the You Yangs and Wyndham Harbour. The hotel offers 150 stylishly appointed guest rooms, gym, outdoor garden courtyard, all day dining in our Rosana Restaurant & Bar and versatile conference and events spaces.
Your day to day
You will be responsible in coordinating and overseeing all hotel operations during the hours of 11pm to 7am working alongside another colleague
Your principal responsibility is safety and security of guests and ensuring the hotel is secure at all times, complete two security floor walk checks during the shift
Expectation of demonstrating high attention to detail and accuracy with the night audit checklist and procedures
Preparing daily reporting for hotel management, arrivals, departures and no shows, responding and taking reservations.
Auditing daily hotel transactions and balancing accounts ensuring all revenue is accounted for
Check in and check out guests providing a seamless true hospitality experience.
Ensure that our guest’s requests such as delivery or room service orders and amenity items are met in a timely fashion and that our Holiday Inn brand standards are met at all times
Complete daily handover log with all the relevant information from the shift to ensure continuity of service
We all work as one team so there will be times where you will assist with duties such as pack down and setup of our Conference and Events spaces, ensuring our public areas are spotless by vacuuming, mopping, cleaning guest toilets, making up a guest room for a late overnight arrival, early morning coffee making
What we need from you
Experience in a front office role demonstrating proactive leadership within a hotel environment is highly desirable
Competency using property management and point of sale systems, current or pervious Opera and Infosys experience is highly desirable
A positive and energetic attitude with a "can do" approach meaning you're happy to roll up your sleeves and help everyone out to deliver our guests with a memorable stay
A genuine want to be part of the hotel and join a highly motivated team who work together to flex in changing situations
Ability to be self-motivated and a self-starter that can take the lead in any situation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including full comprehension with understanding
A current RSA Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate is desired
Valid full time working rights to work in Australia
