Job Description
The Sr Manager, Business Intelligence & Data Analytics is the cornerstone of the global sales operations function, and plays a key role in building data-driven culture and empowering strategic decision making through data insight within the sales organization.
This role involves overseeing the data analytics function for both TNM and MIS business, collaborating with IT, sales, marketing, as well as other function within the global sales operations team, and aligning data initiatives with business goals. As a subject matter expert, s/he will ensure effective data utilization, insightful reporting, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate possesses a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills and a strategic mindset that can drive data-driven conversations.
Job Duties
Establish and execute a robust data intelligence roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
Collaborate with stakeholders within the sales organization to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement frameworks.
Collaborate with Master Data team on governance efforts to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Provide actionable insights to commercial leaders based on data analysis and promote data-driven decision-making culture.
Manage and motivate team for high performance, optimize and sustain team productivity.
Identify and nurture top talent to drive strategic projects and encourage cross-business best practice sharing.
Build a standard process to manage the BI dashboard or other reporting requests and ensure compelling BI visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
Work closely with IT, sales and marketing to align initiatives and sync with global sales operations to ensure critical commercial projects are prioritized.
Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses in collaboration with function areas and support regional sales operations leaders to ensure successful completion of critical regional requests.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business analytics, or a related field; MBA is a plus
Experience:
10+ years of progressive and tangible experience in data analysis, statistics, business intelligence in life science and/or industrial businesses
Experience in continuous improvement and/or lean principles
Skills:
Ability to lead and inspire teams
Ability to articulate complex findings to diverse audiences
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment with great attention to details
Proficient in data analysis, statistical methods, and predictive modeling
Proficient in Power BI, Excel
Strategic thinking, align data initiatives with overall business strategy
