Prime Care Coordination Staff Accountant in Webster, New York
Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting in the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting and reporting of consolidated business results, and the integrity of the general ledger.
Essential Job Functions:
Prepare monthly journal entries.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations, as assigned, to verify accuracy of account balances.
Assist with variance analysis and provide explanations for fluctuations in financial results.
Responsible for sending positive pay files to the bank.
Maintain accurate cash balances and record daily activity.
Assist with the Consolidated Fiscal Report, 990s, and other government related reports.
Assist with external audits.
Assist with preparation of agency budgets and forecasts.
Complete 1099s timely and accurately.
File abandoned property documentation annually
Reconcile 941's to the general ledger quarterly.
Maintain schedule of rents and leases.
Process invoices as requested
Perform special projects as assigned
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and internal controls.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform any other related duties as required by supervisor.

Fundamental understanding of GAAP
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
•No experience is required, newly grads welcome to apply
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Ability to sit continuously
Ability to reach above shoulder level
Ability to turn/twist upper body
Ability to use hand for repetitive action and fine manipulating for the purpose of keyboarding
