The construction of fairlife's manufacturing facility in Webster, NY is underway. This state-of-the-art, 750k sq ft, greenfield plant is expected to be operational in late 2025 and will lay the foundation for fairlife's next phase of growth as the leading dairy nutrition provider. While coupling the industry's latest technologies and fairlife's operational excellence to build this world-class facility, fairlife plans to hire 250 new employees and bring in approximately 5 million lbs. of milk a day, with room to grow over the coming years.

job purpose:

Responsible and accountable for the creation and execution of infrastructure design and construction capital projects, ensuring these are in scope, on time, in budget with safety as a priority, to the satisfaction of key stakeholders. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Ensure investments support the company goals and are maintained / replaced as needed to ensure optimal use of capital and operational resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets in alignment with project goals.
    • Manage and coordinate all aspects of construction activities, external utilities, including site preparation, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and challenges, and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards
  • Team Management and Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate a team of construction professionals, subcontractors, and vendors.
    • Effectively communicate project updates, expectations, and changes to all stakeholders.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  • Quality Control and Risk Management:
    • Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety protocols.
    • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
  • Contract Administration and Procurement:
    • Manage contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
    • Oversee the procurement process, including bidding, selection, and contract negotiation.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
    • Proactively address concerns and manage expectations to ensure project success.
    • Contribute to building strong relationships and maintaining a positive reputation for the company.

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • PMP certification (Project Management Professional) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Construction Manager or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management principles, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in construction management software, including scheduling, cost control, and document management tools.

  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
  • Self-starter; take charge, positive & proactive attitude.

Base pay range:
$125,000$140,000 USD
