Overview of the role:
Hartford Funds is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support their asset management business. In this high impact role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior leaders to help shape our human capital strategies that drive business results in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.The HRBP will contribute to business performance by providing thoughtful consulting on people strategies, organizational effectiveness and other human capital or business initiatives. This role is based in our Wayne, PA office.
Responsibilities:
Partner with leaders across Hartford Fund’s business units to align talent strategies with business needs
Support a talent management agenda including key talent identification, continuous learning, and employee retention approaches
Coach managers through performance and employee relations issues; consult with Employee Relations and Employment Law teams as needed
Facilitate processes and approaches to prepare employees and leaders for ongoing change
Utilize employee survey results to identify trends and opportunities; coach leaders on focus areas and initiatives to address areas of improvement
Identify work environment strategies to increase employee performance/engagement
Assist the recruiting team with screening/interviewing candidates in times of high volume
Identify talent needs across the organization to inform HR strategic priorities
Enhance current talent review and succession strategies, processes, and tools based upon internal and external best practices and research with a focus on impact and outcomes.
Partner with HR colleagues and business leaders on the implementation of DEI initiatives
Conduct external research and benchmarks on talent management best practices; stay current on business/industry trends.
Lead efforts to optimize operational efficiency of our processes and programs, ensuring clear accountability and documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
A minimum of 10+ years related experience as a human resources business partner required.
Asset management industry experience is required
Proven experience designing, implementing, and overseeing governance of talent processes
Experience in leading organizations through ongoing change
Credibility as a trusted advisor and confidant to management, experience with executive coaching helpful
Highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals
Motivated results-oriented, and resourceful professional who is comfortable working independently as well as with teams
Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity
Experience with succession planning, organizational planning and workforce planning desirable
Strong Project Management skills and ability to drive results with minimal oversight
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$150,000 - $200,000
