Robert Half Database Analyst in Wayne, Pennsylvania

Description As a member of the Account Management team, the EDI Analyst I oversees the implementation and upkeep of EDI files by engaging with Carriers and the Client payroll team. Responsibilities also encompass documentation, quality assurance tasks, completing assigned duties, and supporting day-to-day Operations team activities, including administration, issue resolution, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Ensure timely transmission of all external and internal data transfers/files daily; promptly report issues to the Account Management Team and Carriers/Clients.

• Analyze and resolve file and data transfer escalations from initiation through to resolution, collaborating with internal stakeholders as needed.

• Manage the life cycle of data transfers and file specifications.

• Respond to and resolve assigned DA tickets promptly.

• Maintain proficiency in various file types, layouts, and basic data mapping.

• Lead calls with Carrier and client payroll teams for new file setups or modifications.

• Collaborate with Carrier/Client file contacts and IT to test, review for quality, and implement new files or changes.

• Coordinate with Developers to troubleshoot and resolve Carrier/Client file-related issues.

• Update and maintain documentation such as File Status Implementation Log and Data Transfer Detail Specifications to comply with SOCII requirements.

• Create internal tasks including data transfers, defaults, invoices, and audits.

• Conduct post-OE and quarterly enrollment audits, document findings, and assist in issue resolution with the Account Management team.

• Obtain extracts from carriers, vendors, and employers for scheduled audits.

• Adhere to timelines for file submissions, DA tickets, and assigned tasks.

• Foster strong relationships with internal teams (Operations and Developers) and external partners.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• General knowledge and experience in technical problem-solving.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly intermediate Excel and Access skills.

• Preferred familiarity with Health and Benefits industry practices.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize data for issue resolution.

• Competency in basic PC skills, electronic file organization, and email management.

• Database function knowledge preferred.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Excellent listening skills and the ability to address inquiries effectively.

• Customer service orientation with strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience collaborating within teams and working in fast-paced environments.

• Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and adapting to change.
