Actalent Environmental Project Manager in Wayne, New Jersey
Job Title: Environmental Project ManagerJob Description
Participate in a wide variety of site-development, transportation, energy-related, climate adaptation, and resiliency projects. Manage permitting projects at the federal, state, and local levels with a strong track record of success. Prepare permit applications, scientific reports, and environmental impact statements. Effectively coordinate field work, direct and support other technical staff, interact with clients, stakeholders, and contractors, manage budgets, invoicing, accounts receivable, schedules, and subcontractors, and support proposals and cost estimates.
Hard Skills
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, planning, or related field
5 to 15 years of post-degree environmental permitting experience in New Jersey
Familiarity and experience preparing NEPA documentation including ENFs, EIRs, CATEXs, EAs, and EISs
Experience with sustainability and climate adaptation and resiliency planning (plus)
Experience with socioeconomic and environmental justice analysis (plus)
Ability to travel to support project demands, attend technical conferences, and support business development needs
Soft Skills
Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously
Excellent verbal communication and technical communication skills
Ability to maintain a positive attitude working under aggressive schedules
Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondence, and other written materials
Job Type
This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Boonton, New Jersey and some days remote.
Work Environment
Hybrid: 2-3 days a week in office
