We are looking for entry level candidates to join our ES Defense Hardware Engineering Team here at BAE Systems, Inc. BAE Systems is seeking entry level electrical engineers to fill a variety of electrical engineering positions based on your background, skill set and interest level. Beyond exciting work, each college hire in engineering will be part of our Year One program.

The Role: In this role, you will have opportunities to work and grow in all aspects of FPGA Design or Verification.
Be mentored by FPGA Subject Matter Experts
FPGA Design Engineers focus on creating VHDL code for FPGA devices then Implement and Synthesize the Design using FPGA tools (e.g. Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Lattice Diamond)
FPGA Verification Engineers focus on creating SystemVerilog/UVM code to build a logic simulation test environment. Then using simulation tools (e.g Siemens Questa Modelsim) to evaluate test cases and waveforms.
Bring up the FPGA hardware in the lab using test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and debug tools (e.g ILA, JTAG)
Use a variety of scripting languages, software languages, MATLAB, timing analysis, to support designs.
Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers supporting Integration testing of the FPGA as part of a product.
Who You Are:
You explored digital design and FPGAs either in coursework, projects, or work experience and are enthusiastic to start your career focusing in that area.
You constantly ask questions and love learning.
You love working together with a team
The position requires a U.S. person with the ability to obtain a minimum of a Secret Security Clearance.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format , with time split between working onsite and remotely.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's or Master s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Eligible to obtain a security clearance
Coursework, projects, or internship focusing on Digital Design, Programming Languages
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog Programing languages
FPGA Simulation Tools
FPGA Synthesis tools
Object Orient Languages
Hardware testing/Lab experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $65400 - $111240
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
