Phoenix Industrial Services is a staffing agency located in Monroe. We have partnered with a privately owned aerosol company. This environmentally friendly company has been in business for over 50 years. They need a Lab Technician *to join their team at their *Wayne, MI location.

This is a full-time temporary to permanent position with benefits including health insurance and PTO. Starting pay is $20.00/hour. Availability will be on the 1st shift (Monday- Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm).

What you will be doing

The Lab Technician performs laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of liquid or gaseous materials for the purpose of quality control and product development. Daily tasks include:

• Set up and adjust laboratory equipment and instruments
• Test materials such as adhesives, propellants, lubricants, paint, etc., for purity, stability, viscosity, and density
• Record test results and write reports describing procedures used
• Prepare lab aerosol cans for batch approval, customer sampling, and small orders
• Work with raw materials and perform quality control test in both laboratory and on production line

Requirements

Highly-qualified applicants for the Laboratory Technician will possess:

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• OR six months to one year of related experience/training (or combination of experience and education)
• Above average mathematical skills (division, ratios, fractions)
• Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
