Contact co-makers, co-borrowers and guarantors. Actively listen and retain information from members calling in to discuss payment arrangements & hardships as well as help with filing insurance or GAP claims and any other requests for assistance. Evaluate possible losses and collateral values to determine and recommend action such as modification, repossession, writ of replevin, legal judgment, charge off, insurance/warranty claim, payment plan, settlement, or other applicable solution to mitigate loss on accounts. Determine and execute best appropriate action for repossession when dealing with impounded collateral, mechanic liens, bankruptcy, a deceased member, or a voluntary surrender. Ensure all appropriate actions have been exhausted and legal requirements for state specific documents and/or actions have been satisfied prior to assigning for repossession or legal action.
