Job Requirements

  • Communicate with insureds, carriers, adjusters, attorneys/counsel during life of a claim;

  • Review and evaluate insurance policies to determine where coveragepotentially exists;

  • Evaluate and review legal documents, including, but not limited to, complaints, leases and contracts for the purpose of determining proper handling of claim as well as liability and/or insurable interest;

  • Advocate 1st party property claims from initial report of claim to settlement on behalf of Hub clients;

  • Organize and participate in claim reviews meetings and new business presentations;

  • Maintain diary of files for follow-up and document all follow-ups within claim file;

  • Interact with account service teams;

  • Create and issue correspondence, including written advocacy on behalf of Hub clients.

  • Track claim success stories.

  • Contribute towards quarterly newsletters and articles based on claim scenarios.

  • Demonstrate effective team management skills

Requirements:

  • 10 years minimum of commercial insurance claims handling experience

  • Multi-line brokerage or carrier claims experience with a emphasis on 1st party property claims

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in deadline driven environment

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills

  • Proficiency with all MS Office Applications

  • P&C Licenserequired; can be secured post-hire.

  • Occasional local travel; limited travel outside of local area.

Required Education: High school or equivalent
