Job Description
Ensure that the project maintains the required schedule by organizing, planning, monitoring, and inspecting work.
Good communications skills, verbal and written
Prepare schedules or assist scheduler for pay estimates and 3–week look ahead.
Prepare takeoff or assist project engineer with all required materials and ensure that materials and equipment are delivered to the site on time.
Assist project engineer in defining subcontract scope of work and verifying that the subcontractor is on the project when required and progress in accordance with the schedule.
Oversee that the activities of various workers do not interfere with one another.
Inspect the work of each trade and confirm that not only the quality of the work is up to standard, but that the work is being built in accordance with the plans and specifications.
Plan and run weekly progress meeting and assist in the performance of Quality Control preparatory meetings and inspection.
Computer use and knowledge of MS Word /Excel /PowerPoint /Primavera -P6
Read and interpret plans and specifications
Assist with project estimates, bid packages, and schedule preparation and budgets.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, or Engineering, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience (within the last ten (10) years) as a Site Superintendent of construction OR High school Diploma and a minimum of eight (8) years construction experience (within the last 10 years) as a Site Superintendent with training in engineering and construction management
Completion of the Construction for Quality Management for Contractor course desired Familiar with requirements of USACE EM-385-1-1, and experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability and OSHA 30-hour certification with Construction Health & Safety Technician certification desired
Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, standards, codes, and guidance
Must have strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate work requirements with various staff and subcontractors
Able to communicate both written and verbally in English
Ability to be flexible and adapt to constant change
Knowledge of acceptable construction site practices including occupational safety and health regulations
Knowledge of applicable codes and regulation
Security requirements determined by the FBI. Limited background check and fingerprinting required.
The position requires working at the construction job site for extended periods of time. The position may require working during weekends and extended hours in order to meet deadlines.
