Network Engineer

A Fortune 100 Pharmaceutical Company in the Waukegan, IL area is looking to expand their global team. They are actively searching for a Network Engineer who is motivated and excited to gain broad exposure to diverse technologies.

This role is a 6-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to FT and is a hybrid opportunity with expectations to be onsite Tuesday- Thursday. Be part of this international team where you will play a critical role in ensuring the systems are secure, efficient and scalable to support business operations. Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering roles.

• Experience managing network life cycle processes (deployment, maintenance, upgrades).

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (ASA, Firepower) .

• Enterprise networking experience (no small-scale environments).

• Incident management & ticketing experience (ServiceNow preferred)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Network automation

• AWS or Azure Networking

What You Will Be Doing Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Cisco-based network infrastructure , including routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Manage the network life cycle

• Configure and maintain SD-WAN solutions for optimized network performance.

• Automate network tasks using scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar).
