Josselyn Mental Health Clinical Supervisor in Waukegan, Illinois

Josselyn is looking for a Clinical Supervisor that possesses strong clinical skills, ability to think critically and analytically and is a strong problem solver. A successful candidate will have a passion to help and mentor others, have advanced team building skills and be an excellent collaborator. A strong supervisor that has an aptitude for leadership and time and priority management. This would be an organized individual that is easily able to balance clinical and administrative tasks and be adaptable in the face of change and growth. Prior experience in community mental health setting a plus. Knowledge of Medicaid rule 132 preferred.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of clinical staff, assuring staff compliance with productivity requirements, assessments and notes.

  • Supervise interns and work with other supervisors in helping train and orientate students to Josselyn procedures and policies. Work to effectively ensure all staff understand Josselyn policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and approve Clinical staff work and vacation schedules such that the needs of the Center are covered

  • Be available to handle crisis requests for clinical and front office staff

  • Be available to coordinate intake functions, when Intake coordinator is unavailable

  • Foster relationships with community resources and participate usefully in community related activities.

  • Participate cooperatively in performance improvement activities, committee work, when requested, mandatory in-services

  • Maintain 30% direct service productivity and caseload of 10-15 clients after 4 months onboarding period.

  • Proficiency with confidentiality, client rights, safety, and infection control, incident and sentinel event reporting and personnel policies

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Help onboard staff and interns

  • Train staff on CIS functionality and be a resource when issues arise

  • Participate in community-related services as appropriate

  • Represent the agency with integrity and professionalism

  • Abide by the ethical statement of the agency

  • Responsible for managing clinical staff schedule, payroll, performance management and employee development goals

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical supervisory experience in a clinical setting preferred

  • Hold a Master's degree or higher in areas of Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy

  • Hold the following licenses: LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD to practice independently in the state of Illinois.

  • Demonstrate competence in interdisciplinary and inter-agency collaboration

  • Demonstrated administrative, supervisory, and organizational skills

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to think critically and analytically and to problem solve in both short and long term contexts

  • Working knowledge of best practices in clinical counseling in the field of mental health
