Description

We are looking for a Property Administrator to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry, based in Watsonville, California. The role involves managing property leasing activities, assisting with marketing efforts, and maintaining accurate tenant records. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Managing communications with applicants, residents, and vendors

• Conducting intake interviews and assembling MI files for review

• Assisting the Community Manager with marketing efforts, such as mailing marketing materials and tracking marketing initiatives

• Providing tours of the units for prospective tenants and ensuring rental applications are completed accurately

• Entering pre-applications into the waitlist software system and initiating calls to applicants on the waitlist

• Assisting with scheduling certification appointments and processing applicant files for approval

• Handling application background screening and the approval process

• Maintaining the Work Order Logbook and completing resident work orders

• Preparing and delivering general notices for the Community Manager as needed

• Collecting rent payments and security deposits under the supervision of the Community Manager

• Storing all relevant documentation in resident files

• Coordinating resident social functions and communications

• Utilizing accounting software systems such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook for various accounting functions and correspondence

• Documenting and managing insurance details through Yardi software.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the Real Estate & Property industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a must

• Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) is crucial

• Ability to handle Correspondence and Documentation effectively

• Understanding of Insurance policies and processes is necessary

• Experience with Yardi software is desirable

• Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines

• Knowledge of property management regulations and laws is a plus

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is necessary.
