MaineGeneral Health Practice Supervisor - Thayer Internal Medicine in Waterville, Maine

We currently have a Supervisor opportunity that will be a part of our management team. This person will be the “go-to” for our very busy practices.

The ideal candidate should be outgoing, positive minded and enjoys collaborating and building relationships with our providers, medical students, staff and community with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

The key to succeeding in this role, requires experience in staff supervision/office management, preferably in a medical practice environment, with top notch organizational skills.

Job Description:

The Work:

  • Duties are performed alongside staff as needed in order to maintain service level to provide exceptional customer service to patients

  • Determines, coordinates, and supervises daily staffing assignments for clerical staff

  • Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring of staff

  • Performs and/or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions;

  • Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs;

  • Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organization policies, procedures, and protocols

  • Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels

  • Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints

    The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 1 year of supervisor/managerial experience is strongly preferred

  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service and positive patient experiences

  • Medical office experience is strongly preferred

  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Sense of urgency in responsiveness to concerns of patients, staff, and providers

  • Desire to excel in a patient-centered environment

  • Must be adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly

  • Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations
