Responsible for transporting and transferring patients to and from specified areas in a safe and professional manner. Maintains carts, wheelchairs, linens, and oxygen tanks and supplies. Acquires patient histories, assist patients to complete safety questionnaires, positions imaging coils and other imaging devices before scans are started, access patient scheduling programs and assist with scheduling add-on patients. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and physicians while performing their job duties. BLS. Mandatory Reporter Training. Good communication and time management skills required. Requires physical stamina and strength as well as the ability to work efficiently under stressful conditions while maintaining expected standards of care. Demonstrates flexibility and dependability.
