Oakland Schools Early Childhood Data Compliance Specialist in Waterford, Michigan

IN THIS ROLE: You will provide overall coordination and management of the mandated state reporting for Early On Oakland (Part C of IDEA) and Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP). Assuming the responsibility for developing methods and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of captured data and assist constituents with MSDS reporting.

WHAT WE NEED:

  • An individual who is comfortable with in person and over the phone communication.
  • Certifies state reports to the Michigan Student Data Systems (MSDS) including but not limited to the Early OnOakland Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and GSRP.
  • Provide data entry training, guidance, monitoring and problem-solving in the MiSTAR student informationsystem to GSRP Community Business Organization staff.
  • Develop and design methods and procedures for collecting, organizing and interpreting the information into/from the Early On Oakland Referral Database.
  • Create, generate, and maintain data imports and exports as needed.
  • Analyze and oversee data capture and input, reporting and updates to ensure accuracy of state reporting.
  • Coordinate all activities with assigning unique identification codes (UICS) to students and children whilecontinuing to perform UIC maintenance functions, as necessary.
  • Assists school districts, Public School Academy and other organizations with mandatory MSDS certificationsand maintains knowledge of current research, leading edge developments, and legal mandates related to IDEAand GSRP.
  • Participates in planning, with department/unit members and stakeholders.
  • Presents updates at bi-monthly GSRP sub-recipient meetings and at quarterly Early On Oakland LocalInteragency Coordinator Council Meetings.

SALARY DETAILS: $24.08 - $27.92 per hour based on relevant prior work experience, with the potential of earning up to $30.06 hourly after employment with Oakland Schools. Non-Exempt Position / 12-month work year

WHAT YOU NEED: • High school diploma or GED • Minimum of four years experience • Strong computer software skills including google applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
