Job Summary
The Red Hat Customer Content Services (CCS) team is looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our expanding organization. In this role, you will promote success through internal content development and delivery. Drawing from your passion for technology, you'll work closely with software engineers, quality experience, support engineers, and other subject matter experts to create content that helps our internal teams understand our AI application platform and find the best solutions for their needs. As a Senior Technical Writer you will work from our Waterford office with dynamic, fast-paced Agile teams to lead the creation and enhancement of internal deliverables such as developer guides, policies, and processes.
What you will do
Work closely with content strategists, documentation program managers, engineering project teams, support teams, and other stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality documentation
Effectively manage and deliver documentation aligned to business priorities
Provide feedback to other technical writers to improve the quality and consistency of our content
Work with quality engineering (QE) and development to improve the accuracy of your documentation
Engage and collaborate with feedback programs to address content gaps, and promote continuous improvement of the documentation experience
Contribute to the achievement of team and functional goals through completion of tasks and enhancement of processes
Learn to use our internal documentation toolchain, including the publishing platform and issue tracking tools
Keep up to date on changes to our offerings, use cases, support issues, and business strategy
Devote time to research and increase your understanding of your project area, including related trends and topics in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and machine learning operations (MLOps)
What you will bring
Experience with the software development lifecycle, including an understanding of the customer lifecycle and knowledge of different content development and publishing methodologies, tools, and defect-tracking systems
Familiarity with structured, topic-based authoring and information architecture; experience with DITA is a big plus
Ability to collaborate in a global team environment, proactively engage subject-matter experts, and follow through on commitments
Experience with version-control systems and Git
Demonstrated experience with Agile and rapid project iteration
Experience working with diverse sets of stakeholders to solve complex problems
Ability to inspire others irrespective of their job title
Demonstrated success adapting to change in a dynamic environment and taking accountability for project prioritization, execution, and completion
Experience writing for an application platform developer audience
Familiarity with AI, ML, and MLOps concepts and technologies
