Drew Marine USA Facilities Maintenance Technician in Waterbury, Connecticut
The Facilities & Maintenance Technician provides general facilities administration, troubleshooting, and plant maintenance support.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilities / Production Management:
Coordinate with the contractor for Facilities maintenance works, renovation, and repairs and get it completed on time and within budget. Call for service contracts, quotations, and renewal
Source and develop a pool of suitable/ qualified contractors and suppliers to support maintenance or upgrading works
Liaise with utilities service providers, with regards to facility requirement.
Carry out trouble shooting in production and maintenance of production equipment
Responsible to maintain the Filling and labelling machines in production
Responsible for carrying out monthly inspection of Fire safety related equipment.
Carry out daily inspection of the plant facility, work with landscaping & cleaning contractors
Carry out minor electrical or plumbing repairs immediately.
Prepare office space for new hires/ for meetings and conferences
Make special delivery/pick up service when needed
Maintain water dispenser/ supplies in production area.
Participate in Drew Marine’s Emergency Response Team
Other ad hoc duties and tasks may be assigned
Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:
Must be hands on and must have experience in handling electrical repairs & plumbing repairs in a plant
Relevant experience in building/ facilities servicing and maintenance work a plus
Effective interpersonal skills
Strong project and vendor management skills necessary
Ability to work with constant interruptions and handle difficult situations
Able to work well in a team and independently with minimal supervision
Good organizational skills with ability to plan and schedule workflow efficiently and safely
Understanding of and familiarity with general office procedures and standards
Basic computer skills
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 25 lbs.
Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma
License to carry out electrical jobs preferred
Physical Working Environment:
- Position works in a plant environment and may requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
