The Role in Brief:

Managing Director, Partner Success, Enroll360

The Managing Director, Partner Success works with the Vice President of Partner Success to oversee a large portion of the EAB undergraduate enrollment services business portfolio and directly manage the account executives (“Strategic Leaders”) assigned to lead and serve this portfolio. As a senior leader in the division, the Managing Director, Partner Success is accountable for the success of our partners in achieving their enrollment goals, Strategic Leader performance and growth, and partner retention and revenue growth resulting from satisfied long-term partnerships and growth achieved via cross-sells and upsells. In addition, this role integrates/aligns/implements partner success strategies with all parts of our business, helps develop pricing strategies, offers guidance on the marketing innovation roadmap, executes company’s partner engagement strategies through consultative development of Strategic Leader team, and acts as a senior-level contact for partners and stakeholders throughout the marketplace.

The role requires strong management and coaching skills as well as highly proficient consultative and commercial talents for direct marketplace interaction and account leadership. The ideal candidate will have broad higher education industry and institutional knowledge plus senior-level partner and team management experience in a highly complex growth environment.

This hire may be based in Richmond, Virginia or Washington, D.C.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee assigned strategic leadership team and guide the strategic vision, growth, and scale, including recruiting and building top talent through effective leadership and talent management practices

  • Drive strong partner results across the portfolio by leveraging EAB marketing and innovation assets to create and oversee campaigns that are highly effective, as well as consult carefully with important partners to ensure results are as strong as possible

  • Deliver outstanding partnership renewal rates from assigned portfolio – accountable for assigned Strategic Leaders meeting targets for profitable partner retention and revenues, market share, and other key financial performance objectives

  • Execute our foundational partner-focused services model to ensure partners consistently feel well-served and individually valued as the organization continues to grow and scale; assist with high-significance partner requests or issues

  • Actively serve and manager key partner relationships, specifically forging rapport and trust with senior level administrators

  • Forecast, track, and communicate key partner account and team metrics

  • Be active in the higher education industry and stay abreast of partners’ businesses and firm’s competitors to inform our competitive positioning in the marketplace

  • Develop Strategic Leader team to deliver world-class consultations, presentations, and demonstrations to prospects, partners, and internal business leaders

  • Ensure implementation of partner-based strategies and solutions and the documentation of partner feedback to support prioritization of improvement and growth opportunities

  • Create and demonstrate partner results that improve each individual partner’s success and return on investment, leading to persistent and growing partner relationships

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to maximize partner outreach and acquisition activities

  • Provide leadership throughout strategic leadership team while fostering a culture of service, accountability, professional development, and high-performance

  • Champion functional change initiatives and remove obstacles impeding constructive organizational change

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or relevant field

  • 10+ years of highly successful client management experience, including 5+ years managing teams

  • Proven business acumen, planning, and execution skills

  • Financial acumen and related skills such as budget planning, pricing strategies, and client/revenue forecasting models

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully retaining clients and growing relationships and revenues via cross-sell and upsell strategies

  • Effective client communications skills and experience providing clients proactive leadership and consultative insight on short- and long-term strategic decisions

  • Proven ability to effectively manage highly visible and influential relationships throughout the industry, including all levels of an organization

  • Ability to work well in a highly matrixed environment and develop highly collaborative relationships

  • Effective people leadership skills with successful track record of attracting, optimizing, and retaining talent

  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of time

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree

  • Direct response marketing and higher education experience

  • EAB institutional knowledge and experience

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
