Robert Half may have an excellent fitting Financial Analyst role for applicants with outstanding communication skills and a background in finance. Interested in joining an exciting company and growing team? Daily functions will consist of conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a full time employment opportunity, is located in Washington, DC. Noted responsibilities for this newly created Financial Analyst role will be to:

• Work alongside cross-functional partners in Operations to support projects and strategic initiatives

• Develop monthly reports to business partners on financial results and determine the plan of action going forward

• Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date

• Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on forecasts, return on investment of strategic investments, resource allocation, and prioritization

• Obtain a thorough understanding of internal and external cost drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending

• Highly flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of data

• Monitor monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations, ensuring that business partners handle their resources

• Enable successful Business Intelligence (BI) to deliver valuable foresight and decision making as well as forecasting reports

• Work closely with accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close processes

Requirements

• BS In Finance or related area - MBA preferred

• 2+ years of practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

• Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau

• Strong Excel skills including financial modeling experience with net present value (NPV) and DCF valuation

• Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement

• Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

• Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience recommended
