Dynamet Process Engineer III in Washington, Pennsylvania

PROCESS ENGINEER III

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PROCESS ENGINEER III In coordination with the operations team, define and document the rolling mill process to achieve optimal product quality and manufacturing throughput while ensuring a zero-injury workplace. Work with vendors to design and implement enhancements to the process that drive positive business results and improvements in customer outcomes. Ensures a safe workplace. Promotes ways to improve the quality of life and protect the environment in the communities in which the Company does business. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED FOR PROCESS ENGINEER III Four-year college degree in electrical, mechanical, process, or automation engineering. Five or more years of relevant experience in the design, fabrication and troubleshooting of processes. Knowledge of process engineering principals for mechanical, electrical, and controls systems. Knowledge of industrial/manufacturing principles, standards, methods, and practices. Knowledge of a variety of industrial automation and controls systems from different OEMs. DESIRED: Experience in the metals industry and in the process of metal rolling. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing processes; makes recommendations to improve standard procedures. Customer Focused - Anticipates and recommends changes to current processes to respond to customer needs. Understands opportunities for OEE improvements and leads OEE improvement initiatives. Manage the implementation of moderate sized capital projects. Work within and develop the appropriate standards, specifications, and procedures, including but not limited to those required for production, technical, safety, and environmental activities. Ability to model, simulate, and mathematically quantify the impacts of any changes to the manufacturing process. Can create a process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams to document the process flow, the production variables, and the production rate of the system. Ability to define operating standards in conjunction with the operations leadership team. Ability to work with controls and automation OEMs to design and implement industrial automation to the rolling mill process.
