Eaton B - Mechanic - 3rd Shift in Washington, Pennsylvania
This position is responsible for the maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of machinery used to produce commercial electrical products. Additionally, the Mechanic is required to prove competency in operation and repair of production equipment as assigned, including but not limited to the automated production lines, clampers, tappers, screwdrivers and power press.
- Effectively troubleshooting production line and other equipment
- Productively maintaining equipment and performance of the required day-to-day tasks focusing on safe use and operation of maintenance tools
- Performing welder, production line and equipment changeovers
- Assist in loading coils on to automated lines
- Daily press and equipment preventative maintenance and lubrication including power press inspections and safety
- Basic electrical tasks and electrical safety
- Perform hot work permit tasks (including welding, cutting, and brazing)
- Retention of skills as assigned, requirements and on job training
- Safety practices including fire safety, fall protection, fall restraint, lifting systems safety, crane operations, and powered industrial lift truck operations
- Machine safeguarding and lock-out/tag-out authorized
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 1 years of maintenance experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of LOCATION (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications: • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Position Criteria:
- Knowledge and experience working with hand tools
- Must be willing to work on any shift, including weekends
- Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with basic understanding of electrical systems
- Team player, willingness and ability to learn and progress in the trade
