ManTech Configuration Manager in WASHINGTON NAVY YARD, District Of Columbia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Configuration Manager to join our team in the Washington, D.C. Navy Yard .

Job Summary:

The configuration manager in this role will split time around 50 / 50 as an assistant to the Ford Class Aircraft Carrier team Configuration Manager and managing their own projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support to Ford Class aircraft carrier Configuration Manager in the review of change documentation including slides describing the change in detail, specification changes proposals (SCP), Hull Modification Requests (HMR), and Schedule A and B change requests.

  • Manage your own projects and coordinate the work with multiple engineers. This may include multiple projects at one time with competing schedules.

  • Coordinate with Systems Engineers, Engineering Agents, Technical Authorities, and HII-NNS to resolve system configuration matters.

  • Maintain change documentation and change tracking files correct and current.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

  • 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering with at least 1 year of experience in configuration management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with or at a shipyard, Naval Surface/Undersea Warfare Center (NSWC/NUWC), Supervisor of Shipbuilding Command (SUPSHIP), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), and/or Type Commander (TYCOM) supporting construction, operation, maintenance, modernization, and/or repair of shipboard electrical systems.

  • Experience working with technical authority.

  • Experience working with program managers in an engineering role

  • Good technical writing and communication skills

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active or current Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300-$155,200. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
