Planet Technologies VMWare Cloud Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia
Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as a Cloud Engineer. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.
Responsibilities
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to both advise senior leadership, as well as provide a leadership role to engineers who as technically adapt as you are.
Directly interface with the client on a regular basis provide presentations from time to time.
Produce well written, technical detailed articles (documents) that are tailored specifically to the customer’s environment, objectives and requirements.
The Cloud Engineer must be able to speak clearly and communicate effectively (both written and verbally) with the customer’s technical staff as well as management team. Prior experience in supporting one or more cloud infrastructure migration projects is essential.
Expert level experience deploying, configuring, and supporting complex multi-site VMWare virtual infrastructure.
Skills Required
Experience designing and building Azure virtual data centers including ARM templates, network architecture, perimeter security, and ASR.
Candidate must have extensive knowledge of ESX and vSphere application suite as well as an experience working within VMWare NSX environments.
Must have project lead experience, demonstrable history of leading successful deployments of enterprise class solutions, skilled at producing technical documents and engineering diagrams, strong written and verbal skills, team focused.
Experience administering VMware vSphere in an enterprise environment. Demonstrable history of leading successful deployments of enterprise class solutions, skilled at producing technical documents and engineering diagrams.
Strong written and verbal skills, team focused, expert level understanding of VMware vSphere and related products.
Experience in migrating VMware environments to the Azure cloud is a plus.
