Training/Learning Specialist
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health and social services agencies, is seeking a Training Specialist to support a federal contract with Veteran’s Health Administration experience. Experience with or interest in Veteran’s Health Administration is a plus. This is for a future need.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the overall training/learning effort
Conduct learning needs assessment
Identify gaps in learning needed; gather and share best practices
Lead instructional design
Facilitate training design and review sessions
Build facilitation and participant guides
Facilitate training design and review sessions
Create or improve informational material to include but not limited to handbooks, technical guides, how-to-guides, pamphlets
Lead instructional and training sessions, to include workshops and collaborative discussions
Identify gaps in learning needed; gather and share best practices
Deliver training modules via virtual classrooms or through online training platforms
Develop and execute post-course training surveys
Quickly learn on the job content to enable development of effective learning courses
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience (education, training, instructional design)
Working knowledge of ADDIE and Agile Learning methodologies
Experience designing, developing, and implementing a variety of training programs, using instructor-led, web-based (e.g., Vyond, Articulate, Captivate), or virtual training methods
Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory, classroom and web-based instruction
Experience with instructional design and use of a wide variety of modern learning methods
Experience developing storyboards and writing scripts for online training
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
Strong interviewing and facilitation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to lead teams and work independently
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship indefinitely
Ability to obtain a public trust
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Instructional Design or Education
Department of Veterans Affairs experience
Experience in leadership coaching
High proficiency in instructional development using Vyond, Articulate, and/or Captivate
PMP certification
