V2X Systems Integrator/CADD Operator-Full Performance in Washington, District Of Columbia

Overview

  • System Integrator/CADD Operator-Full Performance will function in a key role providing services to manage the operation and production of the computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) and computer-aided facility management (CAFM) systems. As a System Integrator, the CADD Operator will be involved in the construction and coordination process that include, but not limited to working with the project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and space planners. The System Integrator/CADD Operator will also be involved in drafting and designing., the CADD Operator should work heavily with AutoCAD in an office setting, draft and design mechanical (including electrical) systems and objectives. Other System Integrator/CADD Operator will or may include working on job sites directly with job foremen, trades personnel, and superintendents to conduct field verifications and conditions. A CADD operator will be involved mostly in CADD and drafting, however there will be times when the incumbent will be required to conduct field verification and conflict resolution on job sites. A CADD operator may require drafting redlines, provide design and calculation assistance, adhere to CADD procedures for layering, line types, colors, and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout, and work with detailed sketches, notes, and layouts.

    Candidates must have a current Top Secret clearance and a Full-Scope Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to manage the operation and production of the computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) and computer-aided facility management (CAFM) systems

  • Provide technical support to maintain systems; order supplies and upgrade system capabilities as necessary

  • Assist in the preparation of CADD drawings and concepts

  • Maintain hardcopy and softcopy CADD files for all facilities

  • Create and maintain standards and processes for the CADD network

  • Train personnel in the operation of the CADD system

  • Operate and maintain large format copiers and plotters

  • Manage the space inventory management system database

  • Produce, review, and analyze facility data

  • Develop reports for senior managers integrating space occupancy with finance and real estate data

  • Perform space utilization and allocation forecasting

  • Provide technical oversight of facility projects

  • Inspect contractor work for compliance with contract drawings

  • Maintain project technical files

  • Verify existing facilities for producing as-built drawings

  • Research drawing archives in support of new projects

  • Support project managers in discussions with A&E and construction contractors

  • Provide other project information as necessary

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, computer science or related field; high school, vocational school, or trade school diploma and five (5) years’ work experience in a similar field may be substituted for degree requirement.

  • Certifications

  • Must have Valid U.S. Driver’s License and be able to obtain an International Driver’s License

  • Must have a valid U.S. Passport

  • Be licensed and able to drive a manual transmission non-tactical vehicle (SUV ,pickup truck/9 passenger van).

  • Pass customer specific training and certifications.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) desired.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification desired.

  • Travel must be worldwide deployable, often to remote, austere permissive and non-permissive environments.

  • Clearance must have an current, adjudicated, and active TS/SCI security clearance with Poly. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in System Integration/CADD Operations

  • Three (3) years of experience with AutoCAD and Archibus Professional Engineer (PE) Registration desired

  • One (1) year of OCONUS experience with local contractors and labor forces (may be cumulative over several projects/deployments)

  • Six (6) months of experience working in a Government-designated war zone (may be cumulative over several projects/deployments)

  • Microsoft Windows and Office Suite encompassing Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Access, and SharePoint

  • Knowledge of sound program management techniques

  • Skills/Abilities

  • Operate MS Project or other PM software such as MAXIMO

  • Ability to analyze, prioritize, and problem solve effectively.

  • Written and oral communication skills, especially ability to brief senior officials.

  • Strong multi-tasker with the ability to manage time and priorities

  • Strong leadership, project management, team building and presentation skills.

  • Possess knowledge, skills and abilities, including experience in deployed expeditionary support services, at minimum, in areas of logistics management, logistics planning, facility management, supply, transportation, traffic management, vehicle maintenance, facility maintenance, facility management, warehouse management, janitorial support services, etc.

  • Specialized knowledge, skills and abilities experience in facility Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support services with general carpentry and/or general construction skills performing and/or managing base or compound O&M support services.

  • Communicate well verbally and in writing at all organizational levels

  • Work independently and as a team player

  • Work nights and weekends for operational necessities, as required

  • Continue developing professional licenses, certifications, and expertise through formal training and on-the-job experience

  • Handle multiple, demanding, and complex projects in a timely manner with accurate results.

  • Able to lift twenty-five percent (25%) of his/her body weight over his/her head.

  • Other Requirements

  • Travel to and through out various CONUS and OCONUS locations, often to remote, austere, remote permissive, non-permissive environments.

  • Work in an operationally-sensitive environment

  • Perform tasks outside during any weather condition for long periods of time.

  • Operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine and printer.

  • Function in an office environment in a stationary position approximately 50 percent of the time or more.

  • Work well in team environments including demonstrate the ability to function independently with minimal supervision.

  • Function not only in an office environment in a stationary position approximately 50 percent of the time or more, but may work in austere, remote or non-remote permissive and non-permissive environments.

  • Develop and build relationships with logistics management counterparts within parent organization as well as with external organizations facilitating the coordination of various logistical support projects.
