Description We are welcoming applications for a Staff Accountant to join our office located in Washington, District of Columbia. As the Staff Accountant, your role will involve executing crucial financial procedures and maintaining accurate records. This position is a short term contract employment opportunity in the financial industry.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out monthly bank reconciliations to maintain the accuracy of financial records.

• Preparing and posting well-documented journal entries.

• Offering general administrative assistance to the finance team.

• Filing sales tax returns for various jurisdictions.

• Collaborating with team members to ensure financial reporting is both accurate and timely.

• Assisting with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects when needed.

• Supporting the month-end close processes and fulfilling financial reporting requirements.

• Organizing documentation for all financial transactions. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and management

• Demonstrated ability in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Thorough understanding of General Ledger management

• Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close processes

• Familiarity with Dynamics SL

• Advanced skills in Excel
