In conjunction with the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Manager, coordinates the daily operations between SPD and the operating rooms (Main/SSC/L and D). Ensures operational efficiency by planning for the availability of supplies/equipment and instrumentation. This role includes clinical practice, staff development, consultation, leadership and support. Provides direction to SPD support staff in order to meet workload demand. Functions as a clinical resource for the Operating Room/Sterile Processing staff and demonstrates clinical/technical expertise appropriate to AORN and ANSI/AMMI standards. Works with members of the multidisciplinary team to assure that lines of communication are open and processes for quality patient care and problem resolution are in place. Understands, utilizes and is able to interpret and follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

3pm-11:30pm
Minimum Requirements:
Three to five years of Operating Room/SPD experience in an acute care setting.
Two years management experience in acute care setting.
