ManTech Senior Systems Engineer - SED in Washington, District Of Columbia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Sys tems Engineer - SED to join our team in the Washington, D.C. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The Systems Engineer provides systems engineering expertise and technical guidance on a wide range of activities and missions supporting fixed, mobile, and portable systems for border security.

  • Support analysis on a multi-disciplinary team providing technical advisory and lead system integrator technical oversight to the government division lead.

  • Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings to review software, modeling, simulation, and sensor development schedules and ensure alignment/integration with planned systems engineering and test activities.

  • Support interpretation of stakeholder needs to help refine requirements and the development of System Engineering strategies to obtain those capabilities.

  • Support system level test objectives development and assess/verify test performance.

  • Support design reviews to ensure specifications meet specified milestone entrance/exit criteria and government-established top-level requirements.

  • Support the technical review process and assess performance and work products as related to systems engineering, modeling, simulation, and sensors.

  • Identify integration development risks, assist in joint SW/HW impact analyses and develop mitigation strategies to reduce system development acquisition risks.

  • Review products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made and how best practices can be implemented when executing engineering activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Federal acquisition and systems engineering practices.

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline.

  • 5 years of position-specific relevant experience.

Desired Qualifications:

INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) or INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).

Advanced degree in Engineering or related discipline.

Federal systems engineering experience on complex systems.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Project, and/or SharePoint.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
