Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling (JBAB), Washington, D.C. to provide budget analysis, complex issue resolution to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

Individual will be key member of a team performing DoD Agency Financial Statements Audit readiness and remediation services to the United States Government. Position will entail performing reconciliations, monitoring, and resolving audit findings, developing and presenting approaches/methods to refine and implement critical business processes, and identifying solutions to satisfy compliance with the continually changing Federal Government accounting regulations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review, analyze, interpret, and evaluate numerous General Ledger Accounts, Subsidiary Accounts, and Cost Accounts, (i.e., Asset Accounts, Liability Accounts, Capital Accounts, Revenue Accounts, and Expense Accounts)

  • Prepare summary of monthly cash disbursements and cash reconciliation to facilitate analysis and justification of cash variances and net outlays between budget and actual

  • Analyze the liquidation of accounts payable accounts, funds accounts, unmatched disbursements, inter-fund issues, and inter-fund hazardous waste issues

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate reports from feeder programs

  • Provide expert advice to the Government Leadership on accounting matters

  • Develop and implement financial management plans, procedures, and programs to facilitate the effective, efficient, and timely application of financial resources

  • Develop select internal guidance and processes in relation to the execution of financial resources and other internal operations

  • Review execution documents/reports using available financial management systems.

  • Provide analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution

  • Prepare and review responses to external audits; e.g., Financial Management and Budget (FMB), Government Accountability Office (GAO), etc., which involve the implementation of financial management policies and procedures

  • Be knowledgeable of DoD regulations included in the following: DoD BIO (Business Integration Office) end-to-end (E2E) business processes oDOD FMR (Financial Management Regulation) oDoDI (Instruction) oStatement of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS) oFIAR (Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation) oFIP (Financial Improvement Program) Circular A-136 (Financial Reporting Requirements)

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in experience in federal accounting and business processes

  • 4-year degree

  • Able to travel within the organizational area of responsibility (15% travel)

  • Possess ability to interact with multiple personnel to resolve issues and answer questions

  • Ability to develop and perform briefings for Government Program Management

  • Flexibility and ability to move to tasks as assigned and quickly gain understanding of the effort required

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Visio, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in auditing and/or audit remediation

  • DFAS experience a plus

  • Experience with Momentum Financials Software

  • Exceptional problem solving, conflict management, and team building skills to ensure a productive work environment and achievement of goals.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Mus have a current/active Top Secret/SCI clearance with JAFAN 6/0 eligible

  • Must have had a SSBI conducted within the last 6 years

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery

The projected compensation range for this position is $114,100-$190,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
