Robert Half Retirement Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description

My client is a billion dollar, publicly traded, national organization with headquartered in Washington DC. They are seeking a candidate to add to their retirement group as a Retirement Analyst. This person's functions will encompass various aspects of auditing, reconciliation, quantitative analysis, administration, and system management. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, a self-starter, and someone who enjoys a challenge. The role is best described below:

Audit (annual cycle):

-Conduct thorough audits on an annual cycle to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our retirement plans.

Reconcile Year End Data :

-Verify and reconcile data between their HRIS system and retirement servicer, a critical task to maintain data integrity and compliance.

Review and audit retirement servicer's calculations:

-Scrutinize calculations for accuracy and compliance, ensuring that employee contributions and employer matches align correctly.

Create reporting for annual audit:

-Generate comprehensive reports and responding to discrepancies throughout the audit process, which spans 4-5 months.

Quantitative/Technical:

-Utilizing quantitative skills to calculate annual company contributions and review retirement-related payroll transactions for accuracy.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of quantitative experience in finance, accounting, mathematics, or related fields.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, or quantitative analysis preferred.

  • Previous experience with retirement plans, investments, and familiarity with Vanguard is advantageous.

  • Knowledge of Workday and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
