Actalent Project Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

The Project Manager will plan and oversee the building process of architectural millwork construction projects from start to finish. This role involves coordinating and monitoring project progress to ensure customer expectations are met and projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, architects, vendors, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.

  • Review and approve shop drawings before client review and update them based on feedback.

  • Obtain accurate field measurements.

  • Negotiate and manage subcontractors.

  • Ensure proper documentation, submission, and approval of change orders.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers/stakeholders

  • Perform job site visits and attend progress meetings.

  • Determine and manage needed resources from start to finish with attention to budgets.

  • Plan all construction operations and scheduling phases to meet project deadlines.

  • Supervise the work of installers and provide guidance.

  • Monitor and evaluate project profitability relative to budget.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of construction project management experience.

  • Experience with custom millwork, casework, and cabinetry projects.

  • Ability to analyze job requirements, define project scope, and develop project timelines for submittals, fabrication, and installation.

  • Keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple jobs in various stages of construction.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Work Environment

This position will operate on a hybrid work schedule after 60 days of employment. There is a flexible schedule with required project site visits
