Koniag Emerging Technologies (KET), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Program Manager with a Secret Clearance to support KET and our government customer in the Metro DC area. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Koniag Emerging Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Program Manager to lead and oversee the execution of government contracts and professional services. This role requires U.S. citizenship, an active Secret Security Clearance issued by the Defense Security Service (DSS), a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a management field, and a minimum of ten years of experience in project/program management and managing government contracts with professional and administrative support services. Additionally, the ideal candidate must currently hold and maintain a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The Program Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight in the execution of government contracts and professional services, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, project timelines, and performance requirements.

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including project managers, subject matter experts, and operational personnel, to facilitate seamless project execution and address any challenges or issues that may arise.

• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and organizational objectives.

• Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and budgets, to optimize efficiency and productivity across multiple projects or contracts.

• Monitor project performance and progress, identifying potential risks or issues, and implementing proactive risk mitigation and issue resolution strategies to ensure successful project delivery.

• Establish and maintain effective communication channels with government clients, stakeholders, and senior management, ensuring transparent and timely reporting on project status, risks, and performance metrics.

• Lead contract review and negotiation processes, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with organizational objectives and protect the company's interests.

• Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment, promoting continuous process improvement, adherence to best practices, and a culture of excellence.

• Prepare and present comprehensive project reports, status updates, and presentations to clients and senior management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

• Mentor and provide guidance to project teams, ensuring knowledge transfer, adherence to established policies, procedures, and quality standards, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business administration, management, or a related field.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• U.S. Citizenship.

• Active Secret Security Clearance issued by the Defense Security Service (DSS).

• Minimum of 10 years of project/program management experience.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing government contracts with professional and administrative support services.

• Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

• Experience in a government or defense industry environment, with a deep understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

• Expertise in project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches.

• Proficiency in contract management, risk mitigation, and resource allocation strategies.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication strategies with clients and senior management.

• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes for project delivery and contract compliance.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and make sound judgments.

• Experience in leading and mentoring project management professionals.

Requirement:

• Secret Clearance required.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
