Koniag Emerging Technologies LLC is seeking a motivated and skilled Program Assistant/Program Specialist Level I to support program activities and assist in coordinating the implementation of projects within a portfolio. This entry-level position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a strong ability to work on projects and issues within overall policy guidelines.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The Program Assistant/Program Support Specialist Level I will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Support program activities and assist in coordinating the implementation of projects within a portfolio.

• Aid in drafting success stories, briefing papers, talking points, and presentations for management review and use.

• Manage program files and records, and track reports.

• Research materials as required to compile information, reports, and statistical information regarding the supported program.

• Support officials in coordinating policy issues relating to the portfolio.

• Assist in managing program budget formulation, analyze budget proposals, and help prepare justifications and memoranda for presentations to OMB and Congress.

• Aid in evaluating program effectiveness in relation to the funding expended for regional programs.

• Assist in office outreach projects by providing logistical support.

• Perform administrative duties as required to support program requirements.

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education:

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• For a position in the U.S., must be a U.S. Citizen or legal U.S. resident; for a position outside the U.S., any citizenship (U.S., Third Country National (TCN), and Local National (LN)) is allowable.

• Knowledge of and demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

• Zero to two years of experience in a relevant field.

• Demonstrated ability to work on projects and issues within overall policy guidelines.

• Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication, sufficient to draft action and information memos, congressional testimony, press guidance, and congressional and general correspondence.

• Knowledge of international narcotics and law enforcement issues.

The Program Assistant/Program Specialist Level I plays a crucial role in supporting program activities and assisting with the coordination of projects within a portfolio. The ideal candidate should possess strong research and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
