Robert Half Payroll Accountant in Washington, District Of Columbia
Description
We are in the process of hiring a Payroll Accountant in Washington, District of Columbia. The successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of accounting activities, including the processing of invoices and account reconciliations, assisting with payroll functions, and generating financial reports regularly.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the maintenance of accounting systems and ensure their smooth operation.
• Actively participate in the establishment and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures.
• Support the payroll functions by managing benefits and timecard information.
• Handle the routine accounting tasks such as invoice processing and account reconciliations.
• Assist in the regular production of financial reports.
• Provide necessary support for the month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor communication.
• Experience in managing Full Cycle Payroll, including wage computations, record-keeping, and tax reporting.
• Skilled in Accounts Receivable (AR), adept at invoicing, cash receipting, and debtor management.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial reporting, invoicing, bill payment, and payroll functions.
• Ability to effectively utilize Pivot Table for data summarization and manipulation.
• Proficiency in using VLOOKUP function for data retrieval and cross-referencing in Excel.
