About the Role:
We are looking for an exceptional leader who can develop and lead our WW Public Sector Partner Strategy. This is a key senior role that will set the strategy and oversee the execution of a world-class partner model that serve Public Sector customers. You will be required to bring a deep understanding of the partner ecosystem serving the Public Sector industries including Government (Public Safety, Public Services, Critical Infrastructure and Tax Revenue & Finance), Defense & Intelligence and Education. You will be a highly determined, self-motivated individual who fosters cross- organizational relationships and builds trusted customer and partner connections to compete and win in the Public Sector IT market.
What you will be doing:
Own the PS Partner Strategy through close collaboration across industry and Global Partner Solutions teams including:
Work with the Government, Defense and Intelligence and Education Industry leads to identify and develop the priority partners and practice development needs for each industry across partner types (SIs, ISVs, Advisory/Consulting, Startups/Disruptors, etc.)
Building off best industry practices and expertise from the Global Partner Solutions (GPS) to lead the strategy for Public Sector Industry practice development.
Work closely with the Area and Market teams to develop and execute a plan to develop the competency of the priority Public Sector partners and accelerate practice development.
Partner with GPS to develop clear guidance for Area and Market roles across the A14 to support the needs of Public Sector
Establish the process, engagement and rhythm with the Global Partner Solutions team including the metrics and KPIs across WWPS and GPS
Assess and identify future state model for WWPS Partner execution, identify and lead pilots that inform future strategy.
Identify and engage select Global Practices at priority System Integrators to build the practice development model for the partner and establish the GTM and co-selling model.
Ensuring that Public Sector specific needs and compliance requirements are reflected in the tools, systems, processes, commerce engines and partner incentives of the Global Partner Solutions organization.
Model, Coach and Care for the WWPS Partner Strategy team, recruiting, onboarding, developing and leading a high-performance team of Partner Development professionals.
What we are looking for:
10+ years of working with Public Sector customers, with a deep understanding of the Public Sector partner ecosystem.
Experience in a scaled business environment understanding how to leverage different channels, marketing engines and go-to-market motions, ideally with international experience dealing with different countries and business cultures.
5+ years’ experience leading and directly managing people.
Executive presence with ability to influence at senior levels across Microsoft, Partners and Customers.
Highly adaptable, and strong collaborator, fierce advocate, and influencer.
Strong leadership & interpersonal skills, coaching skills, cross-group collaboration, and proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross functional teams across multiple organizational boundaries.
Build effective relationships with colleagues across organizations and functional groups.
Ability to identify data and research needs and strong analytical skills to deliver insightful analysis of strategic opportunities.
Exceptional presentation skills with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Pragmatic approach to solving complex problems with a bias for action.
High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force.
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
Location/Travel – You may be based anywhere in the United States. You can expect global travel, less than 25%.
