One Common Unity OST Program Associate in Washington, District Of Columbia

ABOUT US: One Common Unity (OCU) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that breaks cycles of violence and builds compassionate, healthy communities through the transformative power of music, arts, and peace education. Founded in 2000 following a string of school shootings in Washington, DC, OCU is a collaborative effort between educators, artists, and health practitioners dedicated to preventing violence and improving life outcomes for youth and families. Reporting to the OST Program Manager, the Program Associate is an administrative support staff for the Out of School Time and Enrichment department, providing general administrative support for the team. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support with supply inventory, office inventory, and purchasing • Help the OST department with recruitment related tasks, ex: collecting consent forms, paperwork, outreach, etc. • Complete data management tasks, ex: entering participant information into the database, collecting survey data, tracking attendance, etc. • Keep space organized, clean, welcoming to staff, and fully stocked • Manage scheduling, including space/event coordination, field trip reservations, travel arrangements, etc. • Support Operations with scheduling and meeting/event coordination as needed • Handle all clerical responsibilities for the OST and Enrichment Department, e.g. printing, faxing, mail/overnight packages, copying, filing, receipts, data entry • Support administrative needs associated with reporting requirements • Support the team with administrative duties and projects as assigned, including but not limited to PowerPoint presentations, reports, agendas, letters, calendar management, etc. • Assist with program facilitation and field trip support, as needed • Field general staff inquiries and administrative support needs • Other duties as assigned by Director of OST and Enrichment or Executive Leadership team QUALIFICATIONS: • A bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience • 2+ years of general administrative experience, nonprofit operations experience preferred • A detail-oriented self-starter who exhibits sound judgment with the ability to prioritize • Strong organizational skills required • Energetic and eager to learn and tackle new challenges • A team player capable of cultivating productive relationships across the organization • Resourceful, can-do attitude • Thrives in a fast-paced environment • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications • Strong attention to detail and desire for feedback • CPR and First Aid (WFA); Mandated Reporter training, DCPS clearance, FBI background check, and NSO registry clearance required before first day of work; • OCU follows DC Government and DC Public School guidelines on vaccination and requires healthcare workers to provide proof of vaccination or a qualified exemption.
