Law360 is looking for a Managing Editor to help oversee a team of 35 reporters, editors and news apprentices covering federal, state and local and international tax news. This person will be responsible for the overall tone and direction of the publication. Applicants must have exceptional news judgment and management skills and have experience covering the tax industry. This position reports directly to the Editor-in-Chief.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting the editorial direction of Tax Authority and for hiring all members of the Tax Authority team

• Will directly oversee the Tax Assistant Managing Editors and will give regular performance feedback and coaching

• Must manage the overall performance of Tax Authority and work with other departments across Law360 to ensure all goals are met

• Represent Tax Authority at various tax industry conferences throughout the year

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in journalism or related field

• At least 7-10 years of journalism experience

• Exceptional news judgment

• Exceptional communication skills

• Demonstrated leadership and management skills

• Experience covering the tax industry
