IT Concepts Junior Health Data Analyst (HHS) in Washington, District Of Columbia

IT Concepts is seeking a junior Health Data Analyst to support our Health & Human Services (HHS), Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) Provider Relief Bureau (PRB) client. HRSA is responsible for improving access to healthcare services for underserved and vulnerable populations and has a wide range of responsibilities and programs aimed at enhancing healthcare access and quality in the United States.

As a Health Data Analyst (HHS), you will assist the Program team with functional/technical requirements gathering and providing programmatic support, including preparing/maintaining project management artifacts, risk tracking, data analysis, reporting, and optimizing operational processes/templates as needed as we compile and complete data use cases and solution knowledge management needs for the PRB.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and report on functional and technical requirements gathering sessions.

  • Create process flow diagrams and wireframes.

  • Develop and maintain Use Case templates.

  • Complete Gap Analyses.

  • Contribute to deliverables with high degree of quality and accuracy.

  • Collect, analyze, and maintain project data and documentation. This includes project plans, schedules, budgets, and other documents.

  • Assist in facilitating communication among project stakeholders, ensuring that relevant information is disseminated to the right people at the right time. This can include organizing meetings, creating status reports, and managing communication tools.

  • Ensure that projects adhere to the organization's project management methodologies and standards.

  • Assist in resource allocation, tracking resource utilization, and helping project managers ensure the right resources are available for each use case. This can include managing resource calendars and schedules.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the client environment and overall project scope.

  • Create and maintain various reports and dashboards to track project progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other metrics. Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Prepare and submit detailed meeting minutes and agendas.

  • Maintain a repository of project-related documents, ensuring version control, accessibility, and proper archiving.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts, helping to identify and implement best practices and efficiency improvements.

  • Work with stakeholders, including project managers, executives, team members, and external partners, to ensure alignment and communication.

  • Document best practices and lessons learned from completed projects to help improve future project management efforts.

  • Actively seek opportunities to take on new challenges and increase knowledge of project requirements.

Location: Able to work remotely from the United States.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Data Science, Public Health, Statistics, or a related degree

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience working on programs or projects related to public health and requirements gathering

  • Strong understanding of project management processes and experience developing/maintaining standard project management deliverables.

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization. This includes written, verbal, and visual communications.

  • Interpersonal skills to gather requirements in a cross-functional environment.

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective.

Preferred:

  • Experience as a Scrum Master, including Scrum Master certification.

  • Experiencing contributing toward a Knowledge Management Solution or System.

  • Familiarity with SharePoint or other collaborative environments.

  • Experience supporting government public health agency (preferably Department of Health and Human Services).

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance

  • Must be a US Citizen
