Job Title: IT Systems Integration Analyst Location: DC Metro Area Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Integration Analyst to enhance our technology tools and systems. This role involves identifying target audience habits and preferences to optimize technology solutions, assessing existing and emerging tools, and providing robust support for IT platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and experience with collaborative technologies and project management methodologies. Key Responsibilities:
Technology Enhancement: Identify and analyze the habits and preferences of target audiences to determine how technology tools, especially those focused on collaboration, knowledge management, and project management, can enhance their work.
Tool Assessment: Evaluate existing tools managed by the R/CTO, other department-managed tools, commercially available solutions, and emerging technologies to recommend new processes and workflows that meet business needs.
Project Planning: Utilize project planning techniques to ensure timely delivery of projects with adequate stakeholder engagement.
Documentation: Produce routine correspondence, reports, and other documents with minimal supervision. Coordinate drafting processes with R, R/PPR, and other stakeholders within the Department of State.
Meeting Preparation: Prepare background materials and reports for meetings with various stakeholders.
User Guidance: Develop and deliver guidance and best practices for IT system adoption, including creating user tips, guides, tutorials, and multimedia learning materials.
Communications Support: Provide support for platform announcements and user communications, ensuring readability, clarity, and use of plain language.
Customer Support: Manage new account requests, troubleshoot user issues, respond to questions about platform functionality, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors as needed.
User Data Compilation: Track and compile user data to monitor adoption and usage of IT platforms.
Best Practices Documentation: Document internal best practices related to IT platform usage to improve team efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Client Focus: Strong ability to understand client needs and build and maintain effective working relationships.
Experience:
Translating user requirements into recommendations for IT system improvements.
Managing datasets and performing basic data visualizations.
Tracking IT system usage and developing best practices.
Writing user guides, learning materials, and presentations.
Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to explain technical subjects in plain language to non-expert audiences.
Project Management: Experience working on complex projects within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred experience with industry-standard project management methodologies, including agile.
Technical Skills: Preferred experience with Slack and other collaboration tools.
Customer Support: Preferred experience providing customer support for IT systems.
