Job Description
DMS is seeking an IT Specialist to join our team. t IT Specialist will install, configure, service, repair, and maintain IT systems in both a stand-alone and client-server environment, including MS server, Defense Message Systems, and other authorized IT systems.
Responsibilities
Coordinate operational designs, develop support plans, coordinate implementations, and provide primary level support for LAN/BAN/WAN solutions.
Develop system support requirements and reports and provide advice on network computing issues.
Participate in system support design and performance evaluation reviews.
Monitor and maintain security and integrity standards and controls.
Assist in the evaluation, testing and recommendation of hardware, software, and network configurations based on customer need.
Analyze user requirements and statistics to identify trends and resolve performance issues.
Operating System (OS)/Application Certification is nice to have and will be required to obtain within 6 months
Required Skills & Experience
2-4 years IT experience (4 required unless consultant has a degree in IT)
CompTIA Security+ certification (Not required but definitely a plus)
Hardware break/fix experience
Education
- BA/BS in relevant IT-related field.
