Job Description

DMS is seeking an IT Specialist to join our team. t IT Specialist will install, configure, service, repair, and maintain IT systems in both a stand-alone and client-server environment, including MS server, Defense Message Systems, and other authorized IT systems.


  • Coordinate operational designs, develop support plans, coordinate implementations, and provide primary level support for LAN/BAN/WAN solutions.

  • Develop system support requirements and reports and provide advice on network computing issues.

  • Participate in system support design and performance evaluation reviews.

  • Monitor and maintain security and integrity standards and controls.

  • Assist in the evaluation, testing and recommendation of hardware, software, and network configurations based on customer need.

  • Analyze user requirements and statistics to identify trends and resolve performance issues.

  • Operating System (OS)/Application Certification is nice to have and will be required to obtain within 6 months

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2-4 years IT experience (4 required unless consultant has a degree in IT)

  • CompTIA Security+ certification (Not required but definitely a plus)

  • Hardware break/fix experience


  • BA/BS in relevant IT-related field.
