Intel Director, Manufacturing and Foundry Communications in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

As the Director of Manufacturing and Foundry Communications, you will join a dynamic team and be able to immediately and directly contribute to Intel's IDM 2.0 mission. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications and drive the communication strategy and execution for Intel's global Manufacturing and Supply Organization and for Intel Foundry Services. This role will manage an internal team and agency resources in the development, coordination, implementation, and/or administration of integrated communications programs directed primarily toward external audiences, including business and technology media, industry analysts, policymakers and industry influencers.

This role will work closely with internal and executive stakeholders on positioning, manufacturing and foundry-related news and announcements and issues management. Achieving global alignment among all Intel manufacturing communicators will be key to success. The role will drive and measure results, and work across organizational boundaries and geographies to promote and protect the reputation of Intel manufacturing and build awareness for new Intel Foundry Services and the capabilities it delivers for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive proactive external outreach strategies and communications plans in support of Intel's global Manufacturing and Supply Organization and Intel Foundry Services

  • Provide communications counsel and support to senior executives, including our Chief Operating Officer and the head of Intel Foundry Services

  • Build visibility and reputation for Intel Foundry Services among key audiences, including potential customers and industry partners

  • Develop and maintain relationships with journalists and influencers covering relevant areas of Intel's business, pitch stories and handle press queries

  • Support issues and crisis communication involving our manufacturing operations in partnership with other elements of the Corporate Communication Team and partner organizations

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following:

  • Strategic thinking and critical analysis skills

  • Business and technical media relations experience at a high level

  • Issues management experience

  • Familiarity with the semiconductor industry and specifically, manufacturing and the foundry business

  • Team leadership experience

  • Experience working with CXO level executives

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience setting and driving strategic, external communications programs.

This includes collaborating with GM-level executive teams and managing outside agency budgets and teams.

  • Technology and/or manufacturing communications experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or related field.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $156,950.00-$274,730.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
