Our Data IT Strategy consultants help our clients improve business value through optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of their IT capabilities. This high performing group plays a critical role in multi-disciplinary strategy teams. We enable our clients to understand, plan for, and realize strategic opportunities presented by information technology through a collection of capabilities such as Enterprise IT Management, Mission Enablement, and IT Transformation.
Candidate will be part of data solutions/integration team deeply involved in a data conversion/integration effort supporting a major system modernization
Developing detailed ETL mapping materials to support a large and complex data integration and conversion effort
Interact closely with business stakeholders and technical developers as well as team members
Participating in daily stand-up (scrum calls), sprint ceremonies such as review, demo, and planning
Supporting team members, business stakeholders and technical developers to address emerging challenges, risks, and issues as they emerge in the development and conversion effort of the new application
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of technical experience; preferred 2+ years of consulting experience
Strong oral and written communicator
Strong ability to understand, modify and create SQL queries
Experience conducting data profiling of ERP legacy systems with emphasis on Relational data bases (e.g. IBM DB2, Oracle, SQL)
Experience analyzing application source code (various languages)
Experience with logical and physical data modeling
Experience developing Source-to-Target Mapping documentation and source/target data models
Experience developing ETL documentation to define the specifications for the technical developers
Experience developing documentation for data migration and/or integration projects
Ability to develop technical documentation for ETL developers
Experience with a ETL tool (e.g. IBM DataStage)
Experience or knowledge of working with software development coordinating with developers, and collecting feedback from stakeholders
Experience in Agile development projects and implementing process improvements that align with Agile best practices
Ability to use PowerPoint and Word to create polished, visually appealing presentations and documents for clients and stakeholders
Strong written and oral communication skills
Analytical and solution-oriented to help clients assess and improve data integration solutions
Familiar with Jira/Kanban or Atlassian Suite tools leveraged in software development projects
Experience working in AWS and ElasticSearch
Experience analyzing and working with legacy systems/applications
Experience in managing communications between business stakeholders and technical developers
Experience with reviewing, documenting and decommissioning legacy applications
