Job Summary
SHI's Corp Solutions Consultant - Network & Security will represent SHI as the trusted advisor on all areas of Networking (i.e., routing, switching, load balancing, proxies, and firewalls) & Network Security. They will possess skill sets related toanalyzing, designing (architecture), and implementing Network services. This includes initiating and participating in projects comprised of both technical and non-technical team members. Consultants will possess excellent communication & collaboration skills and the ability to produce professional presentations intended to influence at all levels of an organization.
This position is a remote position with home office setup as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
Performs Implementation services that may include design, architecture analysis, deployment, troubleshooting, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and network engineering
Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects and being accountable for the project outcome
Collect, produce, and update deployment and design documentation
Assist with developing, updating, and continually improving Network & Security Service offerings
Act as a trusted advisor for our technical sales teams, assist with opportunity discovery, participate in customer solution / engagement scoping, and sales enablement efforts
Identify and document best practices / recommendations (people / process / technology), and assist with strategy & roadmap planning
Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to technical and executive client stakeholders through written deliverables and verbal presentations
Develop reports, lessons learned, presentations and supporting documentation for both client engagements and internal discussions
Stay current on new technology, trends, and market behavior by studying market trends and the industry landscape
Obtain applicable technical certifications, directed by annual professional development plans & leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s, Technical degree, or related work experience (Network Engineering / Computer Science / etc.)
Minimum 5 years of technical experience with increasing responsibility
Minimum 3 years’ experience designing, implementing, and integrating Cisco, Palo Alto or Fortinet technology
Combined experience as Network Operations / Administration & Networking Consultant
Available to travel to client sites upon reasonable request
Preferred certifications:
Cisco – CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
Palo Alto – PCNSE, PCNSC

Required Skills
Proficiency with the design, implementation, configuration, and support of Cisco & Palo Alto networking & security solutions.
Experience in initiating and leading consultative network projects & initiatives
Excellent consultative skillsin addressing networking and security challenges
Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a team culture
Passion for innovation, technology, networking, and continued learning/improvement
Excellent written, presentation, white boarding, and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Receptive listening skills, with ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
Proven situational awareness with proficient and timely decision-making skills
Passionate about successful customers outcomes
Ability to work effectively within all levels of an organization (internally & externally)
Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
Must be results driven with a strong sense of urgency
Attention to detail and follow up skills are critical
Ability to become a customer advocate / trusted advisor
Preferred Skills:
Minimum 2+ years’ experience of consulting services
Proficient in other NGFW / Networking technologies
AWS / Azure / GCP Network & Security Knowledge
Certifications Required
Cisco – CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
Palo Alto – PCNSE, PCNSC
Fortinet – NSE4 or higher
Unique Requirements
- Travel to customer sites, up to 30% annually
Additional Information
The estimated pay range for this position is $100,000 -$200,000, which includes a base salary and bonuses. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location, and therefore will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
