Consultant, Federal Healthcare
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health and social services agencies, is seeking a Healthcare Management Consultant to support a federal contract. You will work closely with and support federal clients developing and applying analytical methodologies and principals. Experience working as a trusted advisor is preferred. This is for future openings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Healthcare Management Consultant will use critical and analytical thinking to provide recommendations to clients that will help achieve goals, drive growth and measure success. Duties may include:
Working with clients to develop and execute health care implementation strategy
Performing gap analyses of differences between current and targeted states
Engage in research and analysis and provide recommendations using methodologies to measure, govern and evaluate performance
Conducting surveys, focus groups, and other accepted techniques for data collection in support of organization studies that specifically assess and analyze current organization states and management systems
Collecting, analyzing and communicating field-based implementation data
Working with clients to review and develop guidance and policies that will facilitate understanding, adoption, and implementation of new processes
Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop communications, content and training in support of project implementation
Anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions
Developing, maintaining and managing client relationships
Tracking implementation process, seeing through action items, identifying solutions to barriers and escalating risks as appropriate
Documenting and delivering findings and recommendations
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree in health, science, health policy, communication, management or related field from an accredited university.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in health care, government service, project management or consulting
Must be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and a strong communicator
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and SharePoint
Proven ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills and professional writing skills
Strong ability to work on a team and independently
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship indefinitely
Ability to obtain a public trust
Preferred Qualifications
Department of Veterans Affairs experience
Project Management Professional Certification
Experience participating in the development one complex healthcare organizational redesign or new department stand-up effort
Experience participating in the planning and facilitating large client meetings with clinically focused leadership teams
