Valiant Solutions CDM Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia

Valiant Solutions is seeking a Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) Engineer to join our rapidly growing and innovative cybersecurity team!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of applications, servers, and associated systems for a CDM implementation.

Minimum Experience and Education:

  • 10+ years of information technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or related degree or an additional three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • 8+ years of experience performing functions and responsibilities and responsibilities related to OandM and optimization of enterprise cybersecurity tools and technologies
  • One of the following active certifications is required: CISSP, CISA, CISM, or Cloud Certification (AWS or Azure)
  • Experience installing, maintaining, monitoring, and upgrading applications in Linux and Windows server environments within Azure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues and solutions clearly and concisely.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience providing technical leadership on documenting changes and configuration management documentation of CDM components.
  • Experience delivering documentation of designs, modeling, and developments related to CDM activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform implementation, administration, OandM, optimization, and integration of Axonius.
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade applications, servers, and associated systems for the CDM implementation.
  • Analyze, verify, and manage Axonius permissions and users; oversee Axonius user account management.
  • Ensure proper endpoints are subscribed to the appropriate Collector, Local Core, and Central Core.
  • Monitor discovery processes on nodes and conduct performance tuning of Axonius.
  • Perform data backup and recovery operations for Axonius.
  • Conduct regular Axonius system health checks and monitor network performance impacts.
  • Monitor Axonius appliance computing resource performance.
  • Deploy and roll out Axonius appliances to new networks.
  • Conduct preliminary investigations of inventory scans that are not running or failing.
  • Apply patches to Axonius applications as needed.
  • Maintain network systems and monitor Axonius availability.
  • Attend CDM meetings and provide updates as necessary to the Federal Program Manager (PM) or Contracting Officers Representative (COR).

The salary range for this position is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. It has been benchmarked in relation to the scope of the role, market rate, and internal equity. The salary for this role is expected to be in the $139,500 - $155,100 range. Where a candidate falls within the band can be determined based on one or more of the following: skillset, experience level, achievements, education, geographic location, security clearance, involvement in corporate tasks, and other non-discriminatory factors. In addition to the base salary, this role will include benefits as described above. Valiant reserves the right to adjust the salary range, experience requirements, and position responsibilities at any time without prior notice.

Remote Work Policy
