This is a highly transparent, collaborative position based in our McLean, VA office, remote work available.
Job Description: "That’s a cool job! I want it!"
Responsibilities include building and expanding relationships with Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD customers as well as encouraging System Integrators to add Splunk to their bids and existing programs. This individual must have extensive knowledge of the IC/DoD procurement process.
The candidate will define and execute the overall business development strategy and work with a cross functional team to drive the development and marketing of Splunk software solutions. Familiarity with IC/DoD related programs…including planning, budget and execution processes, and acquisition strategies would be highly beneficial. Strong communication and presentation skills are required as well as the ability to demonstrate related data analytics products to potential and existing customers.
Key responsibilities include identifying and developing IC/DoD business opportunities and business diversification initiatives, cultivating and maintaining strategic customer relationships; and articulating business development strategies and direction to senior management, articulating key customer requirements, conducting competitive analysis and market research.
Other specific duties will include: shaping assigned new business campaigns; monitoring campaign progress and execution through Key Performance Indicator metrics; proposing campaign structure where appropriate; proposal capture lead; and protecting and growing established business.
The candidate must possess the ability to project and build business development, capture, and proposal management teams. Position requires proven experience IC/DoD operations and a strong familiarity with procurement organizations and processes. Strong leadership and organizational skills are needed to cultivate, build and maintain customer relationships, internally and externally, critical to technology development and program capture.

7+ years in the Government, in the mission, program or acquisition space in DoD OR 10+ years direct selling/business development experience selling IT infrastructure solutions and Services to Intel/DoD in the program arena. Experience serving in one or more management positions is helpful.
A passion for improving Government, a high interest in the impact of analytics.
Very comfortable in the “C” suite with a track record of managing large IT programs through the acquisition process.

Education and experience requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience
Must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis
